Nelson Mandela: Launches 46664 Clothing Line

On Sunday September 25, 2011 in Johannesburg during South African Fashion Week 46664 Apparel line that honors humanitarian and former South African president Nelson Mandela debuts. Named after Mandela's inmate number at Robben Island Prison, 46664 Apparel will help fund Nelson Mandela Foundation and boost South Africa's textile/ clothing industry.

The clothing line will carry classic men's and women's sportswear with touches of African influences. 46664 Apparels logo is an embroidered palm symbolizing Mandela's hand. The goal of the company is to become South Africa's first global apparel brand. 46664 will be available at select local retail stores in Johannesburg and is planned for international distribution in 2012.
