Shawn Jay-Z Carter announced today at a press conference that when the Barclay's Center of Brooklyn Venue opens in September 2012 he will be the first performer to play. The Nets new name will be "BROOKLYN NETS" and the team will rock new colors that will be revealed at a later date. "From the moment the Barclay's Center became a reality, I knew this meant something significant for Brooklyn," said JAY-Z:

"This is where I'm from, I'll always be Brooklyn, and opening this arena will mean more to me than anything else, its already created many jobs for the community."

The 18,000 seat arena will have luxury suites designed by JAY-Z, hold Concerts, NBA and College basketball games and will have something in all price ranges for everybody.
